LABWORK REQUESTING
In my experience, you really have to be an advocate for your own health.
Many times you know whats best for you, even if your doctor doesn't agree.
You have to take your health into your own hands. If your doctor won't put in an order for Labwork, that you want or need to have done, there are options for getting this done yourself.
Or it may be that you don't have insurance and need a cost effective way go get labs done.
A few years ago, I found myself in the situation of needing to have a particular lab done so that I could know what was really going on with my own body. Unfortunately, my doctor didn't agree and refused to order the requested labs. Fortunately, I was able to find a way to request my own labs online.
I don't remember the name of the service I used but, here is a link to an online company that does this.
