GROWING VEGETABLES

I Think That Growing Your Own Food Is One Of The Most Important Things You Can Know How To Do

I wish I had learned how to grow my own food a long time ago but, I didn't. Now I am starting from the beginning and learning as I go along. It remains to be seen but, I'm hoping to have a successful harvest of many different vegetables and fruits. On this page I will show you what I've learned and provide product links to items I have used and/or think will be helpful to you.

*I am working towards making sure all of my gardening products are Vegan but, at this point, I can't guarantee everything I'm recommending is. In a perfect world all products would automatically be but, as I am learning, I'm realizing that you have to check

ALL INGREDIENTS IN EVERYTHING to be sure. Realistically, at this point, I don't have the time, money and resources to make sure everything I'm using is 100% Vegan.

For now I am working on conventional growing methods. Soon I am going to start working on Hydroponic Growing. I will make a page covering that when I get started

Here is a picture of my Seedling Growing Station. When I'm at the point of replanting these, this will become my Hydroponic Growing Station.

It's just a 5 Tier Metal Shelving Rack. I use various trays under everything to catch water if needed.

I also have a couple sets of LED Growing Lights.

I'm using a Jiffy Seed Starter Kit and Organic Seed Starter Mix. I'm also using various Cans (Poke 4-5 Holes in the bottom of each can using a hammer and nail). When possible, I put the can with holes inside a shorter can without holes to catch the water. For the cans, I'm filling them 2/3 with Potting Soil then the rest of the way with Seed Starter Mix on top. Everything seems to be going and growing good so far. Some of the leaning stalks I have secured to stakes (skewer sticks) using thread.

Here's The Instructions I Followed Using My Jiffy Seed Starter Kit
